Pepper Landson

Pepper Landson is an accomplished healthcare executive with 30 years of experience in research and development, positively impacting over 100 drug development programs. Her contributions to available therapies include agents in infectious diseases, neurology, oncology, and infertility. Her tenacity fuels innovation and her talents energize successful teams. In the last decade, she has focused exclusively on developing novel therapeutics to address chronic diseases of aging.

 

Pepper co-founded Praetego, a preclinical stage pharmaceutical company committed to improving health outcomes for neurodegenerative diseases. Praetego develops novel small molecules able to interrupt the formation of glycotoxins, specifically, Advanced Glycation End-Products (AGEs). Praetego’s science has been validated by both the NIA and NIDDK of the NIH. As the CEO, Pepper has successfully led funding efforts in both public and private sectors. Through Praetego she will revolutionize how we effectively limit the progression and the burden of Alzheimer’s Disease.

 

Pepper actively supports the next generation of life science and leaders through her work as an EIR at UNC Chapel Hill / Kickstarter Ventures, Women in Bio’s 3.8 Initiative, and mentoring entrepreneurs at UNC-Chapel Hill, Duke University, and NC State University.
